Sanford Cyber Cup 2025

The annual Sanford Cyber Cup is back for 2025!
Step into the Situation Room. The Sanford Cyber Cup is a one-day policy simulation where teams of students brief the National Security Council on an unfolding cyber crisis. Modeled after the Atlantic Council’s Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge, the competition combines fast-moving analysis, creative policymaking, and high-pressure briefing before a panel of industry and faculty judges.
Teams: 3–4 students (both undergraduate and graduate). Don’t have a team? We’ll match you with one.
Morning rounds: 20-minute team briefings on the initial scenario.
Afternoon finals: Top teams return to brief again after a scenario update.
Scenario: Released to registered participants on September 19.
Registration deadline: September 22.
All majors and backgrounds are welcome; no prior cyber policy experience required. A $500 Cash Prize and exclusive event invitation will be awarded to winning teams in each division.
