Bass Connections Platform Accountability 2024-2025

Music Streaming & AI

This project is a part of Duke Bass Connections. The Spring 2025 cohort focused research on four key subtopics: 1) intellectual property, 2) copyright, 3) personal data use and privacy, and 4) children's safety. The team published a white paper, infographics, and blog posts focused on US policy solutions.

Program Overview and DC Convening

Students, faculty, and staff traveled to Washington, DC to present their research to music industry stakeholders and Duke tech policy alumni. The event was followed by a reception on the Duke in DC rooftop. The trip also included a tour of the Recording Industry Association of America, lunch at the Intel office, and a trip to the National Portrait Gallery.
